In this task, you'll be evaluating the Probabilistic thinking in the bolded text. Watch the Probability Tutorial for details.
The bolded text appearing to the left will identify some bit of probabilistic reasoning that a fellow teammate thought you should review to ensure it is correct. Your job is to answer questions about that bit of probabilistic reasoning –– not other bits of probabilistic reasoning in the article.
If you need to see more article context to answer a question, drag the slider underneath the article box to the right.
If you are having trouble understanding what the questions are asking or what each answer choice means, click on the blue question mark next to question text or answer text. A help box will appear offering additional details.
If you have any questions about the interface, watch our Interface Demo here.
You can also refer to this searchable Field Guide to Probability Specialist Task.
Do your best, but don't stress. Sometimes it is hard to choose between potential answer choices, and difficult to know for certain if you are correct. Other people are also completing these tasks, and the PE system will find the consensus among your answers and highlights. Although PE tasks appear like the quizzes and tests we took in school, no one is grading you or judging you. Your best effort is more than good enough.
